Paul has been creating and producing semi-abstract sculpture for the past 14 years. He lived and worked in Canada for several years until returning to the UK in 2015 and basing himself in a tranquil part of rural Cheshire.
A proud Mancunian, Paul studied Art at Manchester Met and was last year shortlisted in the Emerging International Talent category by the Visual Arts Association of UK. Paul also featured as a winning artist on BBC's Home Is Where The Art Is in 2019.
If you fancy a visit, please make an appointment in advance as it is a small working studio and it gives Paul a chance to clean up before you arrive!
Paul's work is instinctive rather than planned. Every stage (clay work, mould-making, casting and finishing) he does himself. The end-product is a stylised, abstract work, cast in a range of materials including wood, resin, metal or stone.
His work is essentially focused on the core themes of human and organic connectivity, flow & structure.
